Happy Almost Birthday Epcot!

31/08/12

So on October 1st it's Epcots 30th Anniversary and to celebrate they were having a cast party today to start the 30 day countdown along with a photo infront of the fountain before the park opened. I really wanted to do the photo as I will never get the chance to do it again so a bunch of us got up crazy early and  got the 6.30am bus to Epcot. We headed to the old Wonders of Life Pavillion where they were having food, a cake and various things going on. Getting there at 7am we were expecting breakfasr but it was actually chicken, veg and rice etc. as it was meant for the staff who'd been working nights! But we weren't gonna turn down free food so at 7am we were eating chicken and ice cream for desert - of which Chloe had 3! Each table was also covered in sweets and some managers were going around and giving out prizes for answering trivia questions. They also had a massive cake that was so tasty and covered in hidden mickeys.

At half 7 we headed outside for the photo. Walking through Future World at that time was so bizarre as it was empty and we could never normally walk through there in costume so we took plenty of pictures! There was a crane set up for the picture and Mickey and Minnie were at the front. I managed to squeeze between two guys so you should see my head. Then once we were done we realised that we should take our own pictures as you can never go up on the fountain and we got some awesome pics of us all with Spaceship Earth behind us.

We then headed back inside to change and over to the character spot to get a pic with the fab five! Then we did Soarin, Nemo and Turtle Talk and went for more free food. The characters were wondering around the party too so we got lots of pics with them before heading off with Matt and Daria for some more rides as it was there last few days. In the afternoon Chloe and I headed to All Star Sports so she could check her friends in and as the weather was so good we just sunbathed there until about 7pm
