Days Off

24/7/12

Chloe and I had Tuesday off so finally I got to go to Epcot to play rather than work! Only taken me 5 weeks to do it! We were going to start out early but I couldn't get up I was so tired and Chloe who'd been to lasses the night before was up before me! We headed in around 11am and headed straight to Soarin for fast passes. The queue was already at 155 minutes and the fast passes were for 6pm! With Test Track being refurbished Soarin is even busier than normal. We got a massive cinnamon bun each as we were starving then watched the Lion King movie all about being environmentally friendly, Epcot's all about learning you see! Then we headed to Imagination which had a queue, I hate the parks in the Summer when you have to queue! Captain EO was a walk on though and I love it sooo much! It's a 3D show with Michael Jackson that was around in the 90's and they brought it back cuz its so good. The Nemo ride was insanely busy so we skipped it and did Turtle Talk which is soo much fun. It's set up so kids can ask the turtle from Nemo questions and he answers them, it can be hilarious to watch.

Mission Space was busy and had no fast passes left so we started to make our way around World Showcase. First stop was Canada where we watched their show, then we stopped by the UK to say hi and take pics of everyone working then headed straight to the USA for lunch. I had the kids meal which I am no going to get everywhere at Disney as it's super cheap and you get a side and a cookie! We watched the American Adventure show then headed through Morocco, Japan and France. Although I've been to Epcot so many times I really don't remember visiting these pavilions properly and they are amazing. The shop in Japan is huge and sells crazy stuff! Morocco is amazing and we had fun trying on belly dancing costumes. France have an amazing bakery which I can't believe I had never been to before! By this time we had to use our fast passes on Soarin which I love. You sit in rows of seats then the whole thing moves up and hangs infront of a massive screen as though you are on a hang glider thing soaring over California. When you go over Orange groves and Pine trees you can smell them it's amazing. We then headed to Mexico and had fun taking pictures of each other in Sombreros and went on the boat ride. Norway was next and they have a fun boat ride all about vikings and trolls. They also sell biscuits called Annas which I'd never seen before! By now it was almost time for the firework show so we missed Germany, Italy and China and will do those another day. It was so nice to watch the fireworks as a guest and actually enjoy them as for 5 weeks I have been closing up a register or the cart as they are going off!

                                                             Crazy stuff in Japan!

25/7/12

My second day off I sunbathed at the Commons pool whilst I waited for Natalie and Fern, then we all headed to the Polynesian for some sunbathing. Its an amazing hotel I love it. It has a Hawaiian theme and you can watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the beach. For once it didn't rain so we stayed in the pool until around 7pm then headed to the Magic Kingdom. We went on the teacups, new Dumbo, Barnstormer kids rollercoaster, It's A Small World, Haunted Mansion, Mickeys Philharmagic, Jungle Cruise and Aladdins magic carpets. Then there was another Main Street Electrical Parade at 11pm so we stayed for that and then had a browse though the shops on Main Street before heading home.
